Hi I'm Emily!

My name is Emily I'm a senior majoring in IS and CS.

Last summer I interned at Apple where I implemented some audio-related features. It was really cool to be able to actually see the giant codebase that sits inside all the Apple devices.

This course is one of the requirements for IS, but I also think it'll be useful to take this course to learn about the practice of software engineering (making software maintainable/scalable and being able to incrementally build very large projects, etc). It's definitely very applicable and engineering-mindset-based, something that you don't necessarily get from the more theoretical CS courses here.

Outside of school I like drawing, listening to jazz / bossa nova, and playing some games.

me too ! do you have any favorite things to draw?

@mbryson drawing is a more recent hobby so I'm still working on fundamentals! I also like going to cafes and sketching what's there
