This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Tech Consultant in Palau, a small Pacific island nation with a population of just 18,000 people. One of my key projects was developing a Python-based data cleaning tool to help the Ministry of Education compile and streamline student information.
I’m taking this class not only because it’s an Information Systems requirement but also because I’m eager to sharpen my software engineering skills.
Outside of academics, I’m a varsity swimmer at CMU and love exploring new cultures (just returned from a semester at CMU Qatar!)

Hi Savannah, working in Palau seems so cool, and the project seems really meaningful to me! What would you say is the biggest challenge for the experience?
I would love to work abroad after graduation or have a job that allows for travel!
