Hey, nice to meet you! I primarily worked with algorithms such as SVM, Neural Nets, XGBoost, LSTM, and ExtraTrees during my internship and honestly found the ExtraTrees (with a LOT of feature engineering) to be the best performing. With the computing power we had available, things like Neural Nets took too long to run. And also, yes to the martial arts question. There are a total of 10 degrees of blackbelt, although it takes more and more years between each rank to earn the next one!

Hello, my name is Rathi!

One software project that I really enjoyed working on was during my internship last summer. I worked on a machine learning application developed to detect abnormality and fraud in credit card transactions. I really liked all the experience I gained with Python in general, as well as a lot of different ML packages and Flask.

I am taking this course primarily as a part of my IS core, but I am excited to learn more about using Git, good software engineering practices, and team-based work.

Outside of school, I love practicing martial arts, specifically Hapkido. I am currently in the process of training for my second-degree black belt!
